Pences set to travel to Virginia for son’s Marine Corp graduation
INDIANAPOLIS – Gov. Mike Pence and First Lady Karen Pence are traveling to Virginia for their son Michael’s graduation Wednesday.
Michael Pence graduates from The Basic School for United States Marine Corps officers.
“Karen and I couldn’t be more proud of our son Michael as he completes his training as an officer in the Marine Corps,” Pence said in a media release. “We are proud parents but we are also truly grateful for his service and that of all the men and women who step forward to serve our nation in uniform.”
Upon graduation, 2nd Lt. Michael J. Pence will be stationed in Florida where he will attend flight school and begin training as a Marine Corp pilot.
Michael is a 2014 Purdue University grad.
Gov. Pence and Karen will return to Indiana Thursday.
