INDIANAPOLIS — A new website is designed to give families an easy way to find safe and affordable child care around Indiana.

ChildCareFinder.IN.gov lets parents perform detailed searches including by location, type of provider or hours. The website also has an “on-my-route” search to find child care options on the way to work or school.

“We also know that finding resources to identify child cares based on all those factors has not always been easy for parents and guardians in Indiana,” said Dr. John Wernert, secretary of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. “That’s why we’ve worked hard to make Child Care Finder as useful to families as possible.”

Families can also find inspection reports and validated complaints or enforcement actions.

ChildCareFinder.IN.gov can be used on a desktop computer and from a mobile device.
