Indiana’s one-stop online business portal hits milestone
INDIANAPOLIS — INBiz, Indiana’s online portal for registering and managing business, has reached a new milestone of 200,000 active users as of July 31.
INBiz helps new businesses get properly registered and help already existing businesses stay up-to-date. Business owners can handle a variety of state and local reporting requirements in one place, such as employer reporting, wage reporting, unemployment claims and premiums and tax registration.
“New businesses are instrumental in maintaining a healthy economy, and it’s our mission to do everything we can to support them by making it easier to do business with the state,” Secretary of State Connie Lawson said in a statement.
Since being launched in 2016, INBiz has been the website where Indiana businesses have done more than 300,000 total transactions, which includes almost 60,000 online business formations.
Currently, INBiz offers Secretary of State, Department of Workforce Development and Department of Revenue services on their website.
Later this year, INBiz will be adding services from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency along with new features from current agencies.
