INDIANAPOLIS — A marching, circus ringmaster is calling Hoosiers to the 2018 Indiana State Fair.
In a new promotional video for the State Fair’s theme, “Step Right Up!”, Gov. Eric Holcomb enters the scene dressed as a classic ringmaster for a traveling circus.

The theme, which usually relates to food, will instead feature world-class circus acts featuring acrobats, clowns and trapeze artists.
“The circus is filled with wonderment and joy, and I loved getting to be part of that magic,” Holcomb said in a statement. “The Indiana State Fair is the greatest showcase of agriculture and entertainment, where memories are made, and one of the highlights of every summer.”
Along the way, Holcomb throws his top hat which makes stops at Hoosier mainstays like Victory Field, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The video ends with Holcomb saying, “We’ll see you there” along with the First Dog Henry wearing his own top hat.
The 163rd annual State Fair will last for 17 days from Aug. 3-19.
