Hill announces support for Trump’s Supreme Court nominee
INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill announced his support for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch Thursday.
Hill is one of 20 state attorneys to sign the letter of support. Each of those attorney generals are Republicans.
“Judge Gorsuch is an outstanding jurist with a proven commitment to upholding the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law,” the letter said. “We have no doubt that he possesses the qualifications, temperament and judicial philosophy to be an excellent Associate Justice.”
Gorsuch is currently the United States Court of Appeals judge for the Tenth Circuit in Colorado.
Gorsuch would take the vacant spot in the Supreme Court left by Antonin Scalia, who died this time last year.
