INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma, R-Indianapolis, announced his selection of Noelle Sykes to serve as chief counsel for Indiana House Republicans effective Oct. 11.

“We are excited to welcome Noelle to our team as session preparations are already underway,” Bosma said in a news release. “With over 10 years of experience working in the legislative and executive branches of state government, we believe her legal talents and skills will be of tremendous value to our caucus and staff.”

Sykes graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2012 after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Butler University in 2006. She is an attorney who has worked for Secretary of State Connie Lawson’s office since 2013 as chief deputy securities commissioner, enforcement attorney and senior counsel in the Auto Dealer Services Division.

She replaces former Chief Counsel Jill Carnell, who has accepted a position as chief administrative offer with the Indiana Department of Administration.
